This sign is located near the top of Aspen Mountain.  Photos of it are below.

It is named after Mike Kaplan, President/CEO of the Aspen Skiing Company, since he was instrumental in having this traverse established.  It used to say "Mike Kaplan Traverse" but he had it changed to just "Kaplan Traverse" in honor of his father.
