The Ed Stern Plaque is a brass plaque attached to the back of a wooden bench.  The bench is located near the Powderhorn run at Snowmass.  If you have any information on Ed Stern, please send to the author at AspenShrines@aol.com.

It has been suggested that this bench is a memorial for Edgar B. Stern Jr., former owner of Park City Mountain Resort, founder of Deer Valley Resort, a director of Sears Roebuck and Co., and a resident of Aspen in the 1960's, but I have been unable to verify that.  He died on October 12, 2008.
