The Bill Newhouse Plaque and Bench (Aspen Mountain)

The Bill Newhouse brass plaque is mounted on the seat-back of a bench on Aspen Mountain, near Ruthie’s run.  Photos of it are below.

The plaque states:  "For Bill Newhouse.  'Willy.'  We share many memories.  Your friends Bill, Bob, Barney, Boyd & Jack."

Thank you to Mary Setre, who wrote the author in May 2011 to say that Bill Newhouse "was an orthodontist from Minnesota and was a true Aspen local. He came to Aspen whenever he could."  Mary is friends with his wife Sandy, and she went on to say that Bill's good friends put the bench on the top of Ruthie's.  She also mentioned that Bill has four sons and that they all come to Aspen to ski along with their children; they are a "family that loves Aspen and enjoys all it has to offer."
