This stuffed animal made its appearance early in the 2013-14 ski season.  Some say his name is "Otto."  The tree it is on is near the top of Aspen Mountain.  Sometime during the 2014-15 ski season, another stuffed animal was added.  At the beginning of the 2015-16 season, that second stuffed animal was gone.   Later in the 2015-16 ski season, a sign was added.  During the 2016-17 season Otto had a helmet on his head.
