This appeared in the October 2014 issue of the Tiger Rag, the official magazine of the New Zealand Paper Tiger Owners Association:  "It’s with much sadness that we bid farewell to Wendy Syman. She  lost her battle with cancer on 5 September, peacefully in her sleep.  She was the real worker during our several years as NZPTOA Secretary/Treasurer, and a great supporter of the class.  We’ll all miss her at future regattas."
