The Markley Hut (Aspen Mountain)

The Markley Hut was originally built in 1964. Since then it was relocated and completely renovated in 2003. It is a one-level structure with a loft that sleeps a total of 8 people. It is located in timber at 10,400' on the side of Aspen Mountain and at the foot of Green Mountain, in the Taylor Creek drainage above Ashcroft and south of Aspen.  It is in an area of known avalanche terrain with recurring avalanche cycles.
